PVX.AI Updates – April 2026

April is about polish, reliability, and reach: in-app help, a built-in device catalog, LAS 1.4 support, and three new interface languages — alongside a major step forward in automatic electrical design.

New

In-app help and bug reporting. Open help articles and file bug reports without leaving AutoCAD, straight from the integrated support panel.

Inverter and battery catalog. Browse and select inverters and batteries from a managed device catalog; your selections are saved locally so they’re available offline.

German, Italian, and Spanish. The interface is now localized in German, Italian, and Spanish, joining English and Turkish — five languages in total, with a CI gate that keeps every string in parity.

LAS 1.4 point clouds. Import LAS 1.4 files alongside the existing 1.2 and 1.3 formats, covering a wider range of drone survey outputs.

Layer filter groups. Filter the AutoCAD Layer Properties Manager to show only PVX.AI layers, cutting clutter on complex drawings.

Planar tilt visualization. Improved 3D pile positioning with X-axis compression for more accurate terrain-following rack views and COLLADA export.

Improved

Automatic electrical design. Transformers now position themselves with road-aware placement, service roads are synthesized automatically, and the design pipeline routes around corridors — far less manual work to reach a clean electrical layout. You can also import inverter specifications directly from OND files.

Smarter layer management. Layers are created on demand instead of all at once at startup, so the layer list stays clean and the plugin loads faster.

Branded installer. A redesigned PVX.AI installer adds safety checks (it won’t install while AutoCAD is running) and registers trusted paths automatically for a seamless first run.

String mirroring. More reliable mirrored stringing — better lead-out handling, correct behavior on rotated and tracker racks, and proper handling of locked layers.

Optional updates. Updates now appear on startup with a bypass option, so you choose when to update without interrupting active work.

Licensing clarity. Excel export and coordinate-transform libraries moved to fully open-source alternatives for cleaner compatibility and licensing.

Fixed

  • Collision highlighting renders correctly, and ghost racks no longer appear at the drawing origin.
  • Dialogs no longer disappear behind the AutoCAD window.
  • U-string mirroring on rotated racks corrected; tracker-mirror and locked-layer errors resolved.
  • LAS import now fails visibly with a clear message instead of silently producing no terrain.
  • Ribbon buttons (AI Assistant, Evaluation, License) render at the correct size.
  • Text labels are assigned to their parent feature layers.
