PVX.AI Updates – May 2026

May is our scale-and-speed release. PVX.AI now runs on AutoCAD 2027, designs utility-scale sites dramatically faster, and ships a redesigned progress experience, a new terrain import wizard, and detailed Bill of Quantities export.

New

AutoCAD 2027 support. PVX.AI now runs on AutoCAD 2027 (.NET 10), in addition to AutoCAD 2021–2026.

Terrain Import wizard. A guided wizard imports terrain from KML/KMZ — and now TXT/CSV point files — straight into the terrain pipeline.

Detailed Bill of Quantities export. Export a full, itemized BoQ for the project, ready for procurement and handoff.

Redesigned progress experience. A reworked progress window — Warm Dark theme, multi-monitor aware, with live phase indicators — gives clear, real-time feedback during long operations like terrain loading, placement, and leveling.

PVCollada 2.0 export. A new side-by-side PVCollada 2.0 export improves fidelity when handing designs to PVsyst.

Improved

Built for utility scale. A deep performance pass means operations that took 138 minutes now finish in about 27 seconds on a 500 MW site, with the electrical design engine tuned for 1 GW-plus projects.

Grading and leveling overhaul. A redesigned grading dialog and import wizards, plus a maximum fill-height cap and bidirectional cut/fill bias for finer control over earthworks.

Smarter electrical layout. Automatic inverter placement for EPC workflows, DC/AC validation, automatic string partitioning and mirroring, and road-ordered transformer grouping — with weighted road snapping for cleaner routing.

Automatic boundary roads. Service roads are generated automatically around site boundaries.

Stronger licensing. Online license revalidation and hardware-anchored licensing make seat management smoother and more secure.

New analysis dialogs. Dedicated info dialogs for Soil Compaction, Hydrology, and Generate Contours.

Fixed

  • Fixed-rack pile lengths are now correct in exports and cross-sections.
  • Elevation API responses are re-projected into the request’s UTM zone.
  • Terrain reliably reappears after Adapt Terrain to Pile completes.
  • WPF windows load correctly on AutoCAD 2021–2024 (.NET Framework 4.8).
  • Import wizard layout polish and a startup crash fix.
  • Electrical generation now gates on topology validation and guards against zero-string inverters.
