PVX.AI Updates – March 2026

March is our biggest release yet: custom rack azimuth for non-standard orientations, East-West dome racks, southern hemisphere support, full English/Turkish localization, and a complete stringing preset system. This release also adds 3D scene objects for shadow studies, an electrical overview panel, and the new cabling configuration tools.

New Features

  • Custom rack azimuth
  • Set azimuth angles per rack for sites that require non-standard orientations. Fully supported across fixed, tracker, and East-West systems, including electrical routing and PVsyst export.
  • East-West (Dome) rack system
  • New rack type for East-West oriented installations with capacity iteration, 3D visualization, section drawing, and stringing support.
  • Southern hemisphere support
  • Correct rack placement, terrain calculations, and hemisphere detection for projects south of the equator.
  • English and Turkish localization
  • All 27 windows and dialogs are now fully localized in English and Turkish, with the infrastructure ready for additional languages.
  • 3D scene objects
  • Place buildings, trees, and other structures on your site for accurate shading analysis and visual context in 3D views.
  • Contour line generation
  • Generate contour lines directly from your terrain data for visual elevation reference, without needing external GIS tools.
  • Stringing presets
  • Save and reuse stringing configurations with rack-type-aware auto-matching. Includes custom multi-frame pattern support, string area/frames modes, and polarity reversal.
  • Electrical overview panel
  • View the full electrical hierarchy (transformers, inverters, combiners, strings) in a dedicated tree-view panel with substation zone and string-level color coding.
  • Cabling configuration panel
  • Configure voltage drop limits and cable separation settings with per-transformer cable generation. Includes trench routing with persistent trench data.
  • Cut/fill balance control
  • Set a fill damping factor to control the balance between cut and fill volumes during terrain grading optimization.

Improvements

  • Road and trench generation
  • Roads are now clipped to boundary polygons, and trench paths route DC cables properly along corridors.
  • PVsyst export accuracy
  • PVC export now reconstructs terrain tilt data correctly, producing more accurate PVsyst simulation inputs.
  • PV Area names in Info Screen
  • Each PV area is now labeled by name in the Info Screen, making it easier to identify areas in multi-area projects.
  • Rack list UI overhaul
  • Tracker plan view, azimuth popup, and improved pile validation for a clearer rack management experience.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed pile spacing calculations and preview consistency across rack types.
  • Resolved azimuth-related issues in 2D-to-3D conversion and terrain sampling.
  • Corrected slope area accuracy in slope comparison tables.
  • Fixed terrain queries for non-standard rack azimuths.
  • Resolved section drawing marker filtering issues.
  • Fixed error handling for file-locked export and oversized KMZ files.
  • Resolved locked layer issues during stringing mirroring operations.
