Overview
The Frame Setout feature in PVX.AI generates front or side cross-section views of your racks. These views are used to verify pile lengths, panel-to-ground clearances, and structural dimensions.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Draw an alignment line
Draw an alignment line in the direction you want to view. Use east-west for front views and north-south for side views.
2. Select the view type
Use the Frame Setout tool. Choose front or back view.
3. Generate the cross-section
Click on an empty area on screen. PVX.AI will generate cross-section views of all racks along the alignment line.
4. Review structural dimensions
Check pile lengths, panel-to-ground clearances, and rack tilt angles in the cross-section. Take multiple cross-sections along different axes to evaluate the entire site.
Tips & Recommendations
- Take both front and side cross-sections to fully verify rack 3D positions.
- Include cross-section views in technical reports and client presentations.
- If you find out-of-spec pile lengths, use Adapt Terrain to Piles to resolve them.
