Info Screen and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) Export

Overview

The Info Screen in PVX.AI shows the key project metrics in a single view, and the same data exports as a detailed, itemized Bill of Quantities in Excel.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Info Screen

Click the BoQ button on the Design Review panel to open the Info Screen.

2. Review the project metrics

The summary covers total installed DC power, panel and table counts, pile quantities with minimum and maximum pile lengths, total pile length, GCR, and cut and fill volumes. A Slope Distribution panel shows the rack slope breakdown alongside those figures.

3. Export the BoQ

Click Export BoQ in the Info Screen, or use the Export dropdown on the Export panel and choose BoQ (XLS).

4. Review the four sheets

The workbook has four sheets, each with the columns No., Description, Unit, Quantity, and Notes:

  • Main Equipment: PV modules, mounting structures (fixed, East-West, tracker), piles and foundations, and rack slope distribution (N-S and E-W).
  • Civil Works: site preparation, roads, earthworks cut and fill volumes, cable trenches, earthing, site enclosure, and power-station civil works.
  • Electrical System: transformers, inverters, DC combiner boxes, DC and AC cabling, and earthing cable.
  • Miscellaneous: site auxiliary equipment, communication, and monitoring and control.

Tips & Recommendations

  • Re-export the BoQ after every design change so the quantities stay current.
  • Compare the GCR against your target to evaluate land use efficiency.
  • To reconcile cable quantities area by area, use the separate cable export: on a site with more than one PV area it writes one table per area (DC Cables (PV-1), AC Cables (PV-1) and so on).
  • The slope breakdown comes as both a visual (the Info Screen panel) and a table (the Rack Slope Distribution groups).
  • Use the workbook directly for tenders, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
