Overview
Swap Rack replaces racks that are already placed with a different rack spec of the same kind, for example a second tracker vendor, without running Build Layout again. Mirror Tracker flips placed tracker tables end to end, so the motor and any uneven pile spacing move to the other end. Both tools are in the PVX.AI right-click menu in the drawing, not on the ribbon.
Prerequisites
Racks placed in the drawing. For Swap Rack, the replacement rack saved in your rack library.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Start Swap Rack
Right-click in the drawing and choose PVX.AI > Layout > Swap Rack. Select the racks to replace with a window or crossing selection and press Enter. All selected racks must be the same kind: all fixed or all trackers.
2. Pick the target rack
The Swap Rack window shows how many racks you selected under Selected Racks. Choose the replacement under Target Rack and confirm with Swap. Each rack is replaced in place and keeps its label.
3. Read the result
The window reports Swap Complete, or Swap Complete with Warnings with the racks that could not be swapped. Deal with those before moving on to stringing.
4. Mirror tracker tables
Select the tracker tables first. Then right-click and choose PVX.AI > Layout > Mirror Tracker. The command line reports how many tables were mirrored. A mirrored table is a normal rack: its stringing, piles and exports follow the mirrored geometry. Terrain-following tables can be mirrored too.
Tips & Recommendations
- Mirror Tracker only works on a selection made before you right-click. If nothing is selected, it tells you to select the tables first.
- To mirror the spec itself for future layouts, use the Mirror button in the Rack Design block of Tracker Settings.
- After swapping, run Layout > Adapt Objects if the new racks should be re-fitted to the current terrain, then check them with Collision Analysis.
