Overview
The first time you run PVX.AI, a guided tour starts automatically and walks you through a complete design from site import to publishing. This guide covers taking the tour and relaunching it later.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Choose from the welcome window
The welcome window offers two choices: Start the guided tour or Explore on my own. Choosing to explore dismisses the tour.
2. Follow the five stages
Starting the tour opens a fresh drawing and a companion panel that takes you through the pipeline in five stages: Site, Terrain, Layout, Electrical and Output. A coachmark arrow points at the exact ribbon button for each step.
3. Work through the tasks
The tour covers importing a site from Google Earth, soil analysis, grading, converting to a PV Area, building the layout, stringing, generating devices and trenches, routing cables, and publishing the design to the web.
4. Relaunch it later
Click Getting Started in the Configurations panel, or type PVX on the AutoCAD command line, to restart the tour at any time.
Tips & Recommendations
- Take the tour in a fresh drawing rather than a live project, so you can experiment freely.
- New team members can relaunch it whenever they need a refresher on the full workflow.
