Overview
PVX.AI provides in-app support without leaving AutoCAD: an AI help assistant that answers questions about the software, and an F1 hotkey that opens the online help. Both live on the Configurations panel of the PVX.AI ribbon.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the help assistant
Click Help on the Configurations panel. The PVX AI help assistant (chat.pvx.ai) opens in the built-in PVX browser, authenticated with your license.
2. Ask your question
Type your question about a feature, an error, or a design decision. The assistant gives step-by-step guidance for any PVX.AI feature, troubleshooting for errors, and design best-practice and methodology guidance.
3. Press F1 for the online help
Press F1 in any PVX.AI window, or while the PVX.AI ribbon has focus, to open the PVX.AI online help (help.pvx.ai) instead of AutoCAD’s built-in help. Context help always lands on PVX.AI documentation.
4. Report a problem or replay the tour
The same Configurations panel holds Submit Bug, which opens the Report a Bug form, and Getting Started, which relaunches the guided onboarding tour. You can also relaunch the tour by typing PVX on the AutoCAD command line.
Tips & Recommendations
- Use the help assistant whenever you want to explore a new feature.
- The more specific your question, the more accurate the response.
- F1 is the fastest route to the written documentation while you are mid-task in a dialog.
- PVX.AI layers are grouped on a Layers panel within the ribbon tab, which helps when you are filtering a complex drawing while following a help article.
