Overview
Rack Slope Analysis colors every placed rack by the terrain slope beneath it, a heatmap that makes it easy to spot rows needing grading or a different rack type.
Prerequisites
Terrain in the drawing and racks already placed.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the tool
On the Layout panel, click Rack Slope Analysis.
2. Pick the slope direction
Choose North-South or East-West, depending on which direction matters for your rack type.
3. Set the slope band
Enter a Min and a Max value in degrees. Racks are colored on a green to yellow to red gradient across that band: green at the minimum slope, red at the maximum.
4. Apply the coloring
Click Apply to color the racks, or Clear to remove the coloring. Click Close when you are done. The coloring survives layout rebuilds.
Tips & Recommendations
- Set the band to the slope limits of your chosen rack so anything red is a genuine exception.
- PVX.AI also adds a Slope Distribution panel to the Info Screen for the same data as numbers.
- The BoQ export carries Rack Slope Distribution groups for north-south and east-west.
