Financial Analysis in Site Assessment

Overview

Financial output is produced as part of a Site Assessment report. Tick one option in the request and the returned PDF includes a financial section with NPV, IRR, LCOE, and payback period.

Prerequisites

The same design and license requirements as any Site Assessment request. See Site Assessment (Yield Analysis) for the full workflow.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the assessment request

Choose Export > Assessment (PDF) on the Export panel, then work on the Request tab. Set the Report currency here.

2. Tick Include financial analysis

Ticking Include financial analysis adds the cost, revenue, financing, degradation, and schedule inputs: CAPEX per Wp and lump sums, OPEX, PPA or tariff, discount and interest rates, degradation, construction schedule, and an hourly time of use price grid.

3. Add battery valuation if needed

Tick Include BESS valuation to add a battery model alongside the financial inputs. If the drawing has placed BESS units, the battery fields fill in from the placed fleet.

4. Submit and collect the report

Click Request Analysis, then open Status & History and use Download PDF when the job completes. The financial section reports NPV, IRR, LCOE, and payback period.

Tips & Recommendations

  • Use Reuse in Status & History to prefill a past request, then change only the CAPEX or OPEX values for a sensitivity comparison.
  • Set the report currency to match the currency your cost inputs are quoted in.
  • Include the financial section in investor presentations and bankability packages.
