Overview
PVX.AI lets you import photovoltaic panel data in PAN file format and build your own panel database. PAN files contain the electrical and physical specifications of panels and are necessary for accurate cable calculations.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the panel database
Go to Rack Design on the PVX.AI ribbon and open the panel database.
2. Import the PAN file
Click the Import PAN File tab and select the PAN file saved on your computer. The panel data will be read automatically.
3. Save the panel to the database
Click Save to store the panel in the PVX.AI database. The saved panel can be used across all your projects.
Tips & Recommendations
- PAN files can be downloaded from panel manufacturer websites or the PVsyst database.
- Verify the imported panel data (power, voltage, current) for accuracy.
- Add your frequently used panels to the database to speed up project setup.
