Overview
In PVX.AI, you can create fixed mounting systems for your solar plant design. In Simple Design mode, PVX.AI calculates pile distances automatically. This guide covers how to design fixed racks in simple mode.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the rack creation tool
Click Create Fixed to open the fixed rack design window.
2. Select a panel
Choose a panel from the PVX.AI database or add your own via the New Module section. Specify the panel name, column type, and orientation.
3. Set rack parameters
Define the panel orientation (portrait/landscape), tilt angle, and the number of vertical and horizontal panels. With Automatic Pile Distance enabled, PVX.AI calculates pile spacing automatically.
4. Adjust height and depth
Set the panel height above ground and pile depth based on your structural requirements.
5. Save the rack
Click Save to store the rack design in the database for use in layout plans.
