Overview
Reset Terrain restores the working terrain to the surface imported at the start of the project. Use it when you want to start the earthworks over from the original ground. This guide covers running the reset and what it clears.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Run the reset
On the Civil sub-tab, go to the Terrain panel and click Reset Terrain.
2. Confirm what will be replaced
A confirmation dialog states exactly what will be replaced. Every grading and terrain-correction edit is discarded, and the cut/fill hatching, volume tables and rack pad surfaces that describe them are cleared.
3. Re-fit the racks
Racks are not moved by the reset. The slope legend, the directional slope maps and the stamped rack slope values still describe the old surface until you re-run grading or run Adapt Objects.
Tips & Recommendations
- The whole reset can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
- Run Adapt Objects straight after a reset so the racks settle back onto the original surface before you read any slope values.
