Overview
PVX.AI checks every terrain-following tracker against its mechanical limits, before placement with a simulation overlay and after placement with a deviation summary.
Prerequisites
A terrain-following tracker spec with its mechanical constraints entered, and terrain loaded in the drawing.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Set the validation bands
In Tracker Settings, set the ground clearance band and the pile reveal minimum and maximum band. Ground clearance is checked between piles, so a hill or ditch mid-segment is caught, not only the pile positions.
2. Run the sample terrain simulation
Use the Sample terrain simulation overlay in the front view to slide a synthetic terrain underneath the tracker. It reports live whether segments stay within constraints or how many violate them, including clearance and reveal violations, so you can tune the spec before placing.
3. Place and settle
Once placed, frames settle to the real terrain profile with a constraint-satisfying settle solver that honors the break-angle, slope, clearance and reveal constraints together rather than settling first and checking after.
4. Review the deviation summary
The Terrain-following deviations dialog lists how many settled frames exceed which constraint and how many multi-row groups placed fewer tables than their spec requested. Frames that exceed constraints are placed anyway and flagged indicative.
Tips & Recommendations
- Use the summary to decide whether to regrade, adjust the spec, or accept the flagged frames.
- Articulated bodies, shadows, section views, BoQ pile lengths and the PVsyst export all reflect the per-segment geometry.
