Overview
A Multi Row tracker spec defines a group of tracker rows driven by one motor through drive shafts. PVX.AI treats the group as a single object through placement, editing and analysis.
Prerequisites
A photovoltaic module in the database and terrain loaded in the drawing.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create the spec
In the Racks window, click Create Tracker and pick the Multi Row card, the option where one motor drives two or more linked tables through drive shafts.
2. Configure and save
In Tracker Settings, select the module and set the Basic Design and Rack Design parameters as you would for any tracker, then click Save.
3. Place the group
Placement puts the group’s rows down together at the spec’s row spacing, with the drive shafts drawn between them. Angle constraints between linked rows are enforced, so the shaft geometry stays drivable on sloped ground.
4. Move the group
Move operations move the whole rigid group in one transaction. A rack’s drive shafts always move with it.
5. Run collision analysis
Collision Analysis treats a multi-row group as one unit and solves a single shared vertical shift for the whole group. A group that cannot be fixed by a shift is classified as grading-required as a group.
Tips & Recommendations
- Check the group row spacing in the spec before placing, since the whole group moves as one unit afterwards.
- Review grading-required groups together rather than row by row.
